Bio: Eliana Willis will be ordained through Hebrew College Rabbinical School this June. She is passionate about building spaces for experiencing the Divine through connection to Jewish tradition, community, nature, and music. Eliana has taught as an experiential educator for all ages: at Jewish preschool, through outdoor exploration at Teva and Camp Ramah in the Rockies, teaching talmud to teens at Hebrew College’s Teen Beit Midrash, to adult learning and music at synagogues, and more. Her thinking and teaching have been shaped by fellowships at several organizations including Hadar, T’ruah, SVARA, and the Center for Small Town Jewish Life. She spent the past summer as a student chaplain at a hospital, and currently serves a congregation in the Boston area as rabbinic intern. Eliana loves gardening, exuberant davening, and picking up new crafts. Originally from Los Angeles, she has been coming to Ikar on visits home for years, and is excited to daven, learn, and schmooze with you over Shabbat.
