Take two! We’ve rescheduled our kickoff IKAR Hesed Day East and invite you to bring our Hesed work to life. Join us to connect as a community, get to know your neighbors, put IKAR Hesed love out in the world, and light the first night’s Hannukah candles together.
On Sunday December 2, we will gather in the home of our Hesed East chair to make meals to donate to a local youth center for youth experiencing homelessness.
We’ll begin with a short text study on the Jewish value of Hesed with Rabbi Keilah Lebell before getting our hands dirty in the kitchen. All ages welcome!
Sunday, December 2, 4 pm, private residence in Hollywood (90068) RSVP to www.tinyurl.com/hesedday (address upon RSVP)
What is Hesed? The Hebrew word Hesed means “loving-kindness”. At IKAR, this means our Hesed network of volunteers show up for each other in times of need. Our community is at its strongest when we support each other during periods of both loss and celebration. To learn more about IKAR Hesed email [email protected]
