Executive Assistant


Reports to: Senior Rabbi and CEO 

Duration: Full time, Exempt (includes some Friday nights and Saturday mornings, holidays, and evening hours) 

Summary: The Executive Assistant is the primary liaison, gatekeeper and organizational force behind IKAR’s senior Rabbi and CEO. They provide all necessary administrative support, schedule coordination, and communication with the wide variety of IKAR constituents. They are also a key member of the administrative team. 

Responsibilities:
-Field a large variety of inquiries from IKAR members and other constituents
-Receive and screen calls and visitors to the CEO’s and Rabbi’s office, and ensure appropriate follow-up 
-Manage CEO’s and Rabbi’s busy and multi-dimensional calendars, scheduling, and confirm appointments
-Organize, respond to, and generate email and other correspondence for Senior Rabbi 
-Manage Senior Rabbi’s interactions with member database
-Arrange and coordinate all details for Senior Rabbi’s busy travel schedule
-Track and respond to requests for interviews and speaking engagements
-Support Senior Rabbi’s preparation for on and off-site meetings and speaking engagements
-Collaborate with Development Team regarding donor relations
-Ensure effective communication between the Rabbi, CEO, executive team, and senior staff, and various departments
-Review, respond to, and organize email inbox of Senior Rabbi
-Maintain discretionary funds reports for Senior Rabbi
-Prepare expense reports and reimbursements for Senior Rabbi
-Schedule board meetings and coordinate logistics for board meetings
-Serve as staff presence at some IKAR programs
-Provide other assistance as needed, including research and preparing briefings

-Ability to maintain a high level of discretion
-Strong written communication skills and affinity for proofreading and attention to detail

Salary & Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience with generous benefit package including full health, vision, dental, life and paid vacation.  Salary Range: $55,000-$70,000.
