Special hours: Tuesday, October 6 – Friday, October 9 from 9 am-4 pm and Saturday, October 10 from 12-5 pm.
During these days of awe, we invite you to visit IKAR’s Yizkor Memorial Garden, which was lovingly envisioned and created by Samara Hutman and Sarah Goldfinger, in partnership with Rabbi Keilah Lebell and many devoted volunteers from the community. It’s a beautiful, peaceful, sacred space located at the IKAR office where we are displaying the photographs of and written reflections about our family members and loved ones who have died. This is one of the few opportunities we have during this time to visit a communal space that’s ours, and that is truly peaceful. Everything about it is shared: the plants, the fountains, the wind chimes, the words — it’s all yours to enjoy. So please come visit. Below is the info you you’ll need to make your visit safe and meaningful.
We also want to thank the incredible volunteers who helped to create and sustain this sacred space: Scott Shulman & Cipra Nemeth, Danny Kessler, Pam Jacobson, Carole Silverstein, Ross Berman, Susan Black-Feinstein, Beth Edelstein, Elizabeth Fenjves & Donald Goodstein, Anna Ayeroff, Devorah Brous, Esther Kustanowitz, Dara Resnik, Rabbi Len Muroff, Julio Sims, Alisa Reich, and Tara Bokman. We thank you and we cherish you.
Hours: Monday, September 21st through Thursday, September 24, 9 am-6 pm, Friday, September 25 and Sunday, September 27, 8 am-2 pm, and Monday, September 28, 1-6 pm.
