Job Title: Operations and Office Manager, IKAR Early Childhood Center

Position Summary: IKAR, a highly acclaimed Jewish non-profit in Los Angeles, seeks an Operations and Office Manager for our Early Childhood Center (ECC). The IKAR ECC is built around core Jewish values and based upon philosophies inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. We aim to nurture gratitude, humility, and social responsibility in our children, families, and staff. The IKAR ECC welcomes people of all faiths, races, sexual orientations, and gender identities. The Operations and Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running and operation of IKAR’s Early Childhood Center. They create and maintain behind-the- scenes systems for paperwork, supplies, and records, and respond to parent and teacher requests. They work with the ECC Director and Director of Admissions and Parenting and ensure smooth communication between the Early Childhood Center and the larger IKAR community.
-Create and strategically manage systems for all Early Childhood records, including Blackbaud, FACTs (tuition management), licensing files, registration and rosters;
-Collaborate with the ECC Admin team on project management;
-Manage payroll and communicate with HR personnel to ensure that all ECC staff are paid correctly and answer staff questions about compensation and benefits;
-Track and maintain ECC budget and respond to budget requests from main IKAR office.
-Create and maintain systems for supply inventory, ordering and distribution;
-Order supplies and groceries as necessary;
-Ensure that supplies are stored appropriately and neatly;
-Communicate with staff about supply needs.
-Manage all issues related to the physical space of the Early Childhood Center, including coordinating with vendors and landlord.
-Interface with and manage maintenance staff, coordinate special requests and regular facility needs.
-Ensure office and storage spaces are organized and that machinery (phones, computers, printers etc) are in working order;
-Ensure that files and records stay organized and are archived as per governmental agency requirements.
Special Events Management
-Plan and manage all logistics for ECC Shabbat and holidays, special programs, fundraisers and any special staff or school-events;
-Coordinate ECC communications via phone and email;

-Energetic focus on assigned administrative tasks to support the ECC program and articulated mission;

IKAR requires all employees to be current on CDC approved Covid vaccinations unless a reasonable accommodation is requested and approved.
Duration: Full time (non-exempt; includes some Friday nights, Saturday mornings, occasional holiday and evening hours)
Salary & Benefits: Pay range is between $50,000 – $60,000 with a generous benefits package including full health, vision, and dental coverage.
