Believe: Healing in the #MeToo Era

October 19th, 2019 — A conversation with Neshama Carlebach and Rabbi Sharon Brous.

Rabbi Brous sat down with Neshama Carlebach for an honest, open hearted conversation about how she is holding her father’s complicated legacy, in light of multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against him. As congregations across the country wrestle with the dilemma of what to do with his music, Neshama speaks with our community about holding love, grief and multiple loyalties. This conversation is the beginning of a communal conversation on art and artists: can and ought they be separated?

Due to technical difficulties, there are several moments of silence and lost dialogue in the recording. Our sincere apologies for any frustration this may cause.
