Activists kick off new Poor People’s Campaign, echoing MLK in 1968 – LA Times

The Poor People’s Campaign kicks of a National Call for Moral Revival. The 40 days of planned protests and other activities, organizers said, are intended to highlight the issues of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation and the societal cost of America’s military buildup. Rabbi Sharon Brous serves on the National Steering Committee of the Poor People’s Campaign. She spoke at the May 14th DC rally and participated in the civil disobedience that are described in the above article.
