TRIBE (20s-30s)
We are seekers and skeptics, Hebrew school dropouts and lovers of Torah, activists, artists, and summer campanatics looking for meaningful Jewish connection and ready to find our people. We craft regular TRIBE-specific programs for the heart, mind, and soul.
We have a variety of monthly events, from hiking to coworking spaces, there’s something for everyone!
We typically have hike and learns, art circles, coworking spaces, singing circles, havdalah, learnings, and shabbat dinners.

TRIBE (20’s-30’s) Elul Party
Join Jewish Vegan Life together with ikar’s tribe, LA Federation’s NuRoots, and Jewish Veggies for A Taste of Renewal, an intimate and interactive evening of food, wine, Jewish connection, and reflection during the Ten Days of Repentance between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
Designed for Jewish adults in their 20s and 30s, this special gathering invites us to explore renewal through the experience of creating and sharing a meal together.
We’ll gather around the kitchen with a professional chef to prepare a beautiful plant based dinner featuring seasonal ingredients inspired by the High Holiday season. Along the way, we’ll enjoy thoughtfully paired wines and short reflections inviting us to consider how the choices we make, including what we eat, can express our values as we enter a new year.
This is not a traditional cooking class or holiday service. It’s a chance to cook, eat, connect, reflect, and welcome the new year together in a warm and welcoming setting.
What to Expect
Wine and mingling
Interactive vegan cooking experience with a professional chef
A beautiful plant based dinner prepared and enjoyed together
Seasonal ingredients inspired by the High Holiday season
Meaningful reflections on renewal, values, and the choices we make
An opportunity to meet and connect with other Jewish young adults
Space is limited.
Come hungry, curious, and ready to start the new year with intention.
This experience is part of NuRoots’ Sweet Return festival. Discover the lineup at nuroots.org/sweetreturn.
Minyan Tzedek
Thursday, Oct 1 • 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm
Civic Action from the Sukkah
Join TRIBE + Minyan Tzedek for an empowering evening of activism and leisure in the IKAR Sukkah!
We’ll kick off the night with some inspiration from Rabbi Brous, who’s stopping by to share a little wisdom as we head into the election.
Then, we’ll call the youngest voters in the IKAR community to get out the vote and ask for their support on two ballot measures endorsed by the IKAR Board.
We’ll reward ourselves with a cozy outdoor screening of Don’t Look Up, complete with fresh popcorn, cocktails, candy and the works!

Each session will take us on a journey of text exploration and introspective work. Part of the session will be studying in hevruta, or with a study partner, and part of the session will be taught by Rabbinic Intern Jacob Schatz. No previous text study required!
