Our community members are the motor of IKAR. Everything we do — from Shabbat services to programs, events and holiday gatherings — can only happen with the help of many, many pairs of hands; it’s truly not possible without the contributions of our amazing village.

So whether you have 30 minutes to spare or a day, your presence really makes a difference. Let us know what mad skills you have (we’ll put them to use!) and look out for calls for specific volunteer needs in our emails.

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

PWAP – IKAR’s annual fundraiser will be on May 23 honoring frontline workers in the community.
If you can help us solicit items for the auction or deliver event bags to our sponsors, please let us know.

Our membership team can always use help welcoming our new members by giving them a call or delivering welcome bags. To join the welcome wagon, please email Zvi.

Help us send love to our members on their Birthdays. Please let Zvi know. if you have time to make Birthday calls.

The Isaiah Fund

Isaiah is IKAR’s way of honoring the great value of non-monetary contributions in improving our community and our world. For every hour that YOU spend volunteering at IKAR or beyond, we get to redeem $18 from the Isaiah Fund and put it in the general operating budget – providing vital support for all of our work.

So if you’ve done good — signed up as a Shabbat Schmoozer, pitched in at the Thanksgiving Tikkun, even volunteered for another organization — take a second to log those hours.
