Virtual Jewish Poetry Reading Circle
Poetry can often heal, elevate the soul and awaken the heart. Come join IKAR’s Jewish Poetry Circle as we read Jewish poets — the Oneg Shabbos poets of the Warsaw Ghetto, Medieval Sephardic poets, Israeli and Jewish-American poets up to the present—the historical context of their writing, spiritual relationships, personal agonies and joys.
The Circle is not an academic writing class but rather an informal experience of a committed group of participants to explore and hopefully bond with Jewish poetic expression and with each other.

Minyan Tzedek
Wednesday, Jun 10 • 6 pm to 8 pm
An Evening of Intergenerational Service at O.B.K.L.A. – Boomers (60+) & TRIBE (20’s-30’s):
Minyan Tzedek at IKAR invites TRIBE (20’s-30’s) and Boomers (60+) to come together for an evening of intergenerational service at OBKLA, where we’ll come together to prepare meals and support neighbors facing food insecurity across Los Angeles.
This is a chance to roll up your sleeves, do meaningful hands-on service, and connect across generations in the spirit of shared Jewish responsibility and community care.
Afterward, keep the evening going and walk together to Founders Ale House for drinks from 8-9pm to schmooze, debrief, and build community together.
