Parent & Me
IKAR’s Parent & Me classes focus on nurturing friendship, curiosity, respect, and Jewish identity for young children and their parents. During each class, we will learn together through music, art, and play. Our parent discussions will focus on both the takhlis (nitty gritty) of parenting and also on what it means to be a Jewish parent. Children’s classes are available for children ages birth-30 months.

Mixed Aged Shabbat Class
(ages birth-30 months, siblings welcome)
Includes music and movement, child-led play, a child-friendly mini Shabbat experience, snack for those eating solids, and a parent discussion focusing on a variety of early childhood/Jewish parenting topics. Class facilitated by Beth Weisman, M.A., IKAR ECC Director of Parenting and Admissions.
Friday Class:
10:00am – 11:30am
$350/family
2024 Friday dates: 5/10, 5/31, 6/7, 6/14, 6/21, 6/28, 7/12, 7/26, 8/2, 8/9 (10 classes)
Infant Class
(ages birth-walking)
Includes music and movement, snack for those eating solids, and parent discussion focusing on a variety of developmental and Jewish parenting topics. Class facilitated by Dr. Jane Rosen, psychologist and IKAR ECC Director of Early Childhood Education.
Thursday Class:
9:30am – 10:30am
$350/family
2024 Thursday dates: 5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 5/30, 6/6, 6/27, 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1 (10 classes)
