Please join Dev Brous, a certified trauma-informed Compassionate Bereavement Care grief counselor, and herbalist. Join this safe, reflective space to hold, and to be held as we “garden” grief. Word for Word: Healthy Communication, from Torah to TikTok with Rabbinic Intern, Jacob Schatz (Virtual)
In this four-part series, we will explore how Judaism addresses kind and harmful speech, beginning with Torah and developing over the history of Halakhah (Jewish law). We will study the laws of Ona’at D’varim (harmful speech) as both a window into ancient and contemporary Jewish values, as well as the ongoing process of biblical and legal interpretation.
