Gathering to end Tisha B’Av with IKAR, Temple Beth Am, and B’nai David Judea

Let’s enter Shabbat together with a sweet, spirited Kabbalat Shabbat service.   After Services, there will be two dinner options following services:   -Everyone is invited to stay for community dinner at the IKAR Event Space ($25 dinner registration).  -TRIBE will gather for Shabbat dinner at the Office Patio for people in their 20s and 30s ($25 dinner registration).    We never want cost to be a barrier to attendance. Wind down and get ready for Shabbat with us! Join our virtual Happy Hour, every Friday at 5pm PST. We are diverse: still working and retired; single, divorced, widowed, and in a relationship; have children, grandchildren, pets, plants, or none of the above; Angelinos and transplants. What we have in common is Ikar, a multitude of experiences, and a desire to spend some of our time enjoying events and experiences with those in our age group. Approximately 60 and above.

Join Minyan Tzedek Community Organizing for an in-person only Shabbat lunch meeting to connect with one another and discuss how we will build our capacity for effective public action to stand up for our people and our values.

IKAR and Shtibl will gather on the evening before Tisha B’Av, the saddest date in the Jewish calendar, for an evening of mourning and reflection. Together we will remember the destruction of the holy Temples in Jerusalem and other tragedies in Jewish history, and pray, learn, and recite lamentations as we try to gather the energy we need to heal our own broken world.
