Lunch & Learn with Jewish World Watch & Congo Peace School w/ Amani Matabaro
After Services, come lunch and learn with Amani Matabaro, the Founding Director of the Congo Peace School. Amani, currently a fellow at Harvard University’s Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, is trained in Martin Luther King Jr.’s tenets of peace and nonviolence from the University of Rhode Island. The Congo Peace School’s curriculum is rooted in peacebuilding, trauma healing, and equality. Located in eastern Congo, the students and staff are provided a safe space to thrive amid the escalating war in the region.
