BBYO Chapter – IKAR teens will have an opportunity to join the international youth movement, BBYO through our very own IKAR chapter. This youth movement, entirely led by teen leaders, has weekly programs and events on the local, national, and international level. Attend social events, Israel programs, and social justice-focused programs each month, which will enable teens to create, develop, and foster friendships – as well as deepen their engagement and commitment to the Jewish community. The programs are created and led exclusively by teens, creating the community the teens want to see. There are also opportunities and training for teens to develop their leadership skills. Sign up here to join IKAR’s chapter and become a lifetime member of BBYO.
Madrichim (Teachers’ Assistants) – This program develops useful leadership skills through working as teachers and office assistants. The Madrichim undergo training that includes learning how to work with younger students and developing professional and organization skills. The Madrichim are expected to act as role-models to the greater Limudim community. Reach out to Natasha Newman-Towban ([email protected]) to apply!
IKAR Programming – IKAR teens will have an opportunity to attend learning and social justice events monthly once a month. Reach out to our Rabbinic intern, Sammy Kanter ([email protected]), with any questions and to find out about upcoming opportunities.
