Holiness is found when we honor both the tedious details and the big picture. After another week of tumult and division, we must not downplay the small missteps (a Congressperson’s reckless play with ancient antisemitic tropes) or the little victories (her immediate and apparently sincere apology). And we also must remember that it’s all part of a larger picture (#TheRealNationalEmergency), from which we don’t have the luxury to be distracted.
