Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali
Following the October 7 attacks in Israel, Liz Hirsh Naftali became a global advocate for hostages after her great-niece, Abigail Mor Edan, was abducted from Kfar Aza at age three and held captive in Gaza for 51 days after her parents were murdered. Since then, Liz has spoken across the United States and around the world, sharing the truth of the attacks, advocating for the release of all hostages, and highlighting the urgent need to confront rising antisemitism. In 2024, she published Saving Abigail, recounting her family’s story and supporting ongoing advocacy for hostages and their families.
Liz is also the creator and host of The Capitol Coffee Connection Podcast, where she speaks with diverse political and inspiring leaders to explore shared human experiences and the importance of how we treat one another—with kindness, empathy, and connection rooted in heart and humanity. Through her public speaking engagements, she encourages people to find their voice, recognize their power, and stand up for what matters most.
A longtime civic and community leader, Liz serves on the board of IKAR, a community that reflects her values and inspires much of her philanthropic and advocacy work. She also serves on the board of Oakwood School in Los Angeles and is a commercial real estate entrepreneur. Above all, Liz is committed to a future where every child can live in safety and dignity and continues to advocate for the voiceless, promoting understanding, peace, and humanity for children and families in Israel, Gaza, the United States, and around the world.
