Annual 5K & Community Day
Please join us on Sunday, January 18, 2026 for our annual 5K & Community Day. Let’s get together for a fun run/walk/move our bodies however we are able. We’ll also shmooze and nosh and do some good work together in the park.
5K Fun Run Participants register here. You can meander, skip, jog, dance, run, or race your way to the finish line all while raising money for social action.

We’ll meet in Picnic Area #2 at Cheviot Hills Park (2459 Motor Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90064) at 9:30am.
There will be music, food (of course), games/activities for the kids, and you get the bonus of meeting other IKARites while doing a mitzvah.
Join us in loving our newest neighbors. In honor of Melanie Pozez z”l, who loved to help people, please bring packaged diapers (all sizes) to the park and join us in making cards for families at the YMCA New American Welcome Center. At a time when immigrant families are feeling vulnerable, we want to let them know that they are truly welcome in LA.
If you’re not in Los Angeles, a virtual run option is available.
