The month of Elul is about preparing for the spiritual work ahead during the High Holy Days — but you don’t have to do it alone. House parties help you get into the HHD spirit alongside fellow IKARites and rabbis as we engage in learning and conversation. This year, we’ll crack open the mahzor (HHD prayerbook) to unlock the meaning of the core prayers that we recite over and over again on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.  And, Hillel will guide us through the melodies so that you not only know what the prayers mean, but you can sing along too.
