It’s a Small World After All

Shabbat Terumah Sermon. The threat of pandemic not only reminds us of how deeply connected we all are– how long does it take for a germ to make its way around the world?– but also requires of us a different sense of community and shared responsibility. Three lessons from the k’ruvim (cherubim) for these challenging times: we must remain rooted, aspirational, and humanly connected.
