IKAR is packing its bags, shutting down our phones, and getting OUTSIDE for our annual Shabbaton. Shabbaton is an opportunity to get out of the city, get to know your fellow IKARites in the fresh mountain air and get immersed in the restorative spirit of Shabbat in the beautiful hills of Ojai.

Meet fellow IKARites: Dine, daven, and adventure with friends old and new.

Get Unstuck: Let the great outdoors recharge your spiritual battery.

Kids & Family Programming: We’ll have activities that are educational and fun for IKAR kids age 2 years old through 7th grade.

Text Study & Discussion: Dialogue, debate and dig into Torah with our beloved rabbis. It’s everything you love about learning together but in nature.

Bargello Circle
Bargello is a needlework art that was popular during the Renaissance. The patterns are created by counting stitches on a canvas, as there is no printed pattern provided. It is very easy to learn and the beginner patterns are simple to create. You only need to be able to use a sewing needle and to count!

The Weekly Parashah

The Weekly Parashah with Rabbi David Kasher (Co-Sponsored with Hadar)
Join us for a literary study of the text of the Torah, aided by the keen eyes of the classical commentators. This course will meet at 3:00 PM Eastern | 12:00 PM Pacific. This class is co-sponsored by IKAR.

Kabbalat Shabbat

Kabbalat Shabbat Services & Dinner
Please join us at the IKAR Event Space (1729 S. La Cienega Blvd) at 6:30 pm as we enter this new Kabbalat Shabbat experience together. There will be two dinner options following services: TRIBE (20’s-30’s) will gather for Shabbat dinner at the Event Space.  Everyone else is invited to join community members for home-hosted dinners in the neighborhood.  PLEASE RSVP HERE FOR APRIL 4TH DINNER
