Tisha B’Av with IKAR, Temple Beth Am, + B’nai David-Judea
“Even when / Cry and Plead, My Prayer is Stifled” (Eicha 3:8)
Jeremiah’s frustration as Jerusalem careered toward destruction is a frustration that we often feel ourselves. Our prayer experience feels lifeless and stifled. How can we unlock our prayer when we are feeling stuck, or when we find ourselves in Jeremiah’s prayer-shoes? Starting with Minha (Egalitarian & Orthodox services will be held). It’s traditional to wear tallit and tefillin for Minha on Tisha B’Av.
