It’s time for an honest conversation about philanthropic ethics. Can we accept money from disreputable sources? What matters most— the moral character of the giver, the way the money was made, or the good it might do once directed to an organization or institution? And where do we draw the line? Is there a pathway for tainted money to be redeemed… and could it even redeem the giver?
