Who We’ll Be When We Emerge
Shabbat Vayishlah Sermon. The Rabbis didn’t trust Esav’s embrace of his estranged brother. But can’t we imagine that our time apart from one another might change us, in some fundamental ways? As we begin to contemplate what we’ll do when we emerge from this isolation, let’s think, too, about who we’ll be. Let us imagine the wholehearted embrace of a people, transformed.
