Eric Beckman joined the IKAR Board in 2018 and is a member of its Building Committee.  You can find him at IKAR most every Shabbat and holiday, where he enjoys soulful prayer and shmoozing with friends over coffee.  Eric is Co-Managing Partner of Breakwater Management, a private investment firm headquartered in Los Angeles.  He was previously a Senior Partner at Ares Management and an officer of Ares Capital Corporation, a publicly traded investment fund.  Earlier in his career he worked at Goldman Sachs and for the City of New York.  He has served on the boards of several non-profits, including the Posse Foundation, where he chaired the L.A. Advisory Board.  In addition to his role at IKAR, he is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the Ziegler School for Rabbinic Studies at American Jewish University.  Eric has a B.A. from Cornell University and a J.D. from the Yale Law School.  He and his family live in Brentwood.
