Kellen Joseph Quinn
B’nai Mitzvah, Clergy, and Community Organizing Coordinator

Kellen joins IKAR with a robust history of personal and professional experience. Kellen is a California native, having lived all over the state, from Central Valley farmland to the Northern California Lost Coast. After a turbulent upbringing, Kellen’s artistic talent made for an escape from his familial cycles. The day after his high school graduation he took the money he had saved from his job as a movie theater usher and moved to Los Angeles to act. Best known for his portrayal of Grady on AMC’s The Walking Dead: World Beyond and as William on Apple TV’s High Desert.

Kellen describes his work in entertainment as his escape, and his work in organizing for a better world, his purpose. Over the last decade, Kellen has served his community on many levels, from arranging local Naloxone trainings, to advocating in state lobbying sessions on Guaranteed Income, to aiding U.S. Veterans in applying for benefits, and rallying strikers on the picket lines. After a fellowship with the Jewish Federations of North America and participating in the Jewish Service Corps program with Repair the World, Kellen found the missing Jewish piece in his service.

Kellen’s personal and professional history make him well-equipped to serve the IKAR community that he and his fiancée, Ivy, have been members of. In addition to his position at IKAR, Kellen is a student at the University of Alaska, majoring in Homeland Security and Political Science. In his free time, you can probably find him at shul…
