Over a decade ago we opened the Early Childhood Center (ECC) to begin the important work of renewing, educating, and serving our community. While creating our school we felt it was important to help others create their own opportunities for sustainability and growth. We found a partner community and began working with Israel-based non-profit Innovation: Africa to bring sustainable development to the people of Katira, Uganda. Much of that work has been focused on helping improve educational outcomes by installing solar power for the IKAR-funded primary school, medical clinic and to the newly constructed, secondary school.
