Lunch and Learn: Parent’s Circle

Join us for a powerful conversation with the Parents Circle – Families Forum. The Parents Circle is a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization made up of over 800 bereaved families. Their common bond is that they have lost a close family member in the war. But instead of choosing revenge, they have chosen a path of reconciliation.

Sima is a bereaved Palestinian sister whose brother was killed by an Israeli soldier when she was just 3 years old. Maayan is a bereaved Israeli daughter whose parents were both killed on October 7 by Hamas.

Thisevent offer a unique opportunity to witness the transformative power of empathy in the face of devastating violence in Palestine and Israel. Their message that it’s possible to hold grief, humanity, and hope at the same time feels especially important right now.

Shabbat Sukkot Day 1 Services
Shabbat and Sukkot Services At 9:15am, join Dev Brous and/or Dr. Barry Goldstein for meditation in the 3rd-floor art room. Then, daven with us in person or virtually on YouTube or Zoom. Childcare (ages 2-5) is available. Newly-minted ikarites are encouraged to sit together to the left of the prayground, in front of the bleachers. After Services, stay for our communal kosher, pescatarian lunch and consider contributing to our Shabbat Meal Fund. Kiddish Program RSVP here!
