We are seekers and skeptics, Hebrew school dropouts and lovers of Torah, activists, artists, and summer campanatics looking for meaningful Jewish connection and ready to find our people. We are the emerging generation of the larger IKAR community, and we craft regular TRIBE-specific programs for the heart, mind, and soul.
WHAT WE DO –
TRIBE SCHOOL: Once a month, TRIBE is creating our own Beit Midrash (house of study) for us to engage with Jewish text to find how we can live more fulfilling, meaningful lives as we navigate our 20s and 30s! Each session will take us on a journey of text exploration and introspective work. Part of the session will be studying in hevruta, or with a study partner, and part of the session will be taught by Rabbinic Intern Sammy Kanter. Join us from 7-9:00 pm at the IKAR Event Space for dinner, study, and lively discussion. Bring a partner to learn with, no experience necessary and no prior reading required. It’s the Hebrew school you wish you went to.
HAPPY HOUR: Join us on the third Friday of the month for drinks (alcoholic + non-alc beverages) & schmoozing followed by services.
FEAST: Slow down, break (Hallah) bread, and reconnect at our First Friday post-Shabbat dinner hang. Every other month, we try to have the Feast Shabbat dinner at Shalhevet or in homes across LA, in partnership with OneTable.
PLUS – Holidays, House Parties, Justice, TRIBE Camp, and more.
