Shabbat

Wind down and get ready for Shabbat with us! Join our virtual Happy Hour, every Friday at 5pm PST. We are diverse: still working and retired; single, divorced, widowed, and in a relationship; have children, grandchildren, pets, plants, or none of the above; Angelinos and transplants. What we have in common is Ikar, a multitude of experiences, and a desire to spend some of our time enjoying events and experiences with those in our age group. Approximately 60 and above.

Let’s enter Shabbat together with a sweet, spirited Kabbalat Shabbat service.   After Services, there will be two dinner options following services:   -Everyone is invited to stay for community dinner at the IKAR Event Space ($25 dinner registration).  -TRIBE will gather for Shabbat dinner at the Office Patio for people in their 20s and 30s ($25 dinner registration).    We never want cost to be a barrier to attendance. We welcome everyone to our Shabbat morning services at 9:30am PT, no matter their level of observance, experience, or familiarity with Hebrew. Daven with us in person at Shalhevet, or join us virtually on YouTube or Zoom. Childcare is available during Services for kids ages 2-5. Stay afterward for our kosher, vegetarian community lunch. PLEASE FOLLOW THE PARK’S RULES AND REGS: PLEASE, NO ALCOHOL (if we don’t follow this rule we won’t be allowed back). NO CHAIRS (except for those who have accessibility needs). Bring picnic blankets, spread out, and enjoy! Remember it’s a BYO food and water situation, so bring your own delicious morsels and righteously reusable water bottles. Street Parking is available, as is a (small) free parking lot. But as always, we recommend you “keep it green”: ikarpool, bike, scoot, skateboard, rollerblade. These services will not be live-streamed, so it’s IRL or bust…
